For more information about handcycling, check out Adaptive Adventures.
Also, for people interested in exercising in Summit County, check out BOEC. BOEC's Adaptive Cycling Program is a relatively new program that provides handcycle lessons, guided rides and group rides on the paved bike trails in Summit County. This year, BOEC has added an adaptive downhill mountain bike to its fleet (One-Off) and provides lessons/rides at Keystone Mountain.
Watch for upcoming bike trip on Oct 4 at 10AM . The bike ride is somewhere between 25 and 35 miles in which we head west down the Bear Creek Trail over the dam south down the 470 trail over Chatfield Dam to the Platte River Trail north back to Bear Creek. John Velka is inviting all the local wheelchair sporting groups to either participate or come to the picnic to socialize and network. Meet at the Stone House.
