'Rolling' Nuggets Annual Junior Basketball Camp
The Junior 'Rolling' Nuggets Wheelchair Basketball Camp is in its fifth year of providing quality instruction, while focusing exclusively on developing basketball skills. Athletes will participate in a variety of stations focusing on both individual and team concepts, and will be instructed by some of the best wheelchair basketball players in the world. The camp will be August 22, 2009 (9AM - 3PM) at the Gold Crown in Lakewood.
Who Should Attend? Boys and girls, ages 8-20, who have mobility impairment as their primary disability are eligible to attend. Athletes should be extremely independent, and have a strong interest in competitive basketball. Our one prerequisite is a good mental attitude.

Other Camps and Programs
The Junior Wheelchair Sports & Recreation Camp is sponsored by the Colorado Sports for the Physically Challenged, Blaze Sports, and Gateway High School. The camp's purpose is to introduce sports, recreation and the associated benefits to physically challenged youth. The Benefits include a chance to improve strength and endurance, develop self-esteem and confidence, and meet others with similar disabilities. The campers also meet positive role models and are given opportunities to excel. For volunteers, camp provides a great educational and rewarding experience. The 2008 camp will run June 9-13 from 9:30A - 3:30P. Check out the links section for a review of the camp.
